This 2021 Lunar New Year red packet design, a collaboration with Dongjiu Paper, is themed 'Have Good Luck!' Following a challenging 2020, the Year of the Ox in 2021 brought new hopes. I envisioned a Bull Demon King to symbolize the banishment of misfortune and usher in good luck. Its design, a blend of fierce and quirky, adds a playful twist to traditional festive greetings. Playing on the concept of 'lucky money,' the packets were designed to reveal both the money and the phrase 'Have good luck' upon opening, bringing a joyful smile to the recipient. The production utilized two unique die-cut molds, two hot stamping foil colors, three embossing plates, and four hot stamping plates, meticulously applied to Chardeau 128g, a premium Japanese art paper imported by Dongjiu Paper.
