Float Dept., located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, specializes in fermented foods. The brand embodies the process where microorganisms transform carbohydrates into diverse, delightful flavors, aiming to be a small yet meaningful part of daily life. The brand identity is inspired by microorganisms, with irregular elements representing yeast or bacteria playfully emerging from openings, symbolizing brewing vessels. This is complemented by fluid, handwritten typography for a casual and relaxed aesthetic. The color palette mirrors the interior design, utilizing sofa blue, plant green, and beige-grey walls to evoke a lively, earthy freshness. The spatial design centers on the concept of water cycle dynamics, allowing plants to grow naturally across both floors, creating a unique living landscape for visitors.
